The grapes are destemmed and very gently pressed (450 – 500 litres per ton recovery). The juice is allowed to settle roughly overnight before fermentation is allowed to proceed uninoculated in a stainless-steel tank. The wine is racked and bottled straight after alcoholic fermentation.
Remhootge Free to Be Weisser Riesling 2020
Colour: Pale straw colour.
Nose: Fennel, green melon, limes and granadilla on the nose.
Palate: It’s a fresh, zesty entry with sweet fruit and a gentle waxy texture on the mid palate, offset by a limey acid bringing freshness and length.
Best drunk from March 2020 onwards. It will have had a year in bottle to settle.
